tore tee. >> reporter: the family tells us they are frustrated with hayward police. they believe their son's murder is not being given the priority it deserves the no police response to that accusation. officers found the body of the 19-year-old last tuesday night inside this abandoned auto shop where you see people have left candles in honor of the young man and last night 150 people lit candles in honor of him. he was last seen october 21st at his home in hayward. his father reported him missing a couple of weeks later on november 1st. his family spent the next several days searching for him. >> we paused so many times over here and we didn't even think that he was over here and it was so hard for us. >> reporter: as i mentioned, police did eventually find his body here last tuesday night. police are treating this as a homicide. no arrests, no suspects identified as of yet. the family tells us they can't imagine who would want to kill him. they say he was a very generous young man who dreamt of one day becoming a chef. reporting live here in hayward, bob redell, "today in the bay." >
